Phew! Hot day in school today! You may need to drink some water when you get home!

Students had a complete orientation to the IMC today from Ms. Burnette. They learned all they need to know about IMS policies and procedures. Teachers sign up for the IMC as needed, but it looks like Tues. will be our IMC day for now.

We also started our AIM High (or anti-bullying) unit. As 6th graders, I want you to know strategies to empower yourselves to take a stand against bullying. Talk to your parents about the Truths vs. Myths you responded to in class, and see if they have the same answer! Tomorrow we will delve into articles and learn annotating.

H/W: 1)Signed syllabus due Thurs. 2) Read 25 minutes every day! 3) Bring your independent reading book to school 4) The paragraph writing due tomorrow, if not already done
