Greetings!

Today we began class with independent reading time. Most students had a book, which was great! Students were asked to pick out a "jump-out" sentence to share with the class. This connected to annotating articles for our "Make a Difference." We discussed the purpose for annotating and practiced with a non-fiction article, then shared our findings. I enjoyed today so much...students, your interaction and participation makes my job fun and exciting!

H/W: 1)Remember an independent reading book for tomorrow. All classes will be taking an acuity pretest, so you will want to read when you're finished. 2) Dig deep into your reading...read at least 20 min. tonight. 3) I just have a few who need to turn in their signed syllabus sheet.
