Hello!

P. 1,4: We started Jackie's Nine today! I am so excited to dig into the life of Jackie Robinson and all that he stood for in our nation. We began with his daughter's memories of her dad; she knew he played baseball, but she was shielded from his civil rights activities. We are focusing on main ideas, details, and inferences, and this will lead into a writing prompt.
H/W: Nine acuity activities for Friday. You must pass nine!

P. 2,5,6: Today we analyzed the poems of Robert Frost and tied them into the decisions that students have made in their lives. This will become a writing prompt, so remember that you must have a completed chart on p. 18 of Persuasion. Choose a decision that had implications...not something like which kind of juice you chose. I know, you're only in 6th grade, but I am sure you have had to make a decision you felt was important.
H/W: Complete p. 18 of Persuasion (if not completed already). Nine acuity activities for Friday. You must pass nine!

Have a wonderful evening!
