1) The Mysterious Check
Yesterday when you got home from school, there was a letter waiting for you. When you opened it, you found a check inside - and nothing else! What was the value of the check? Who do you think sent it? What will you do now with it?
Write a narrative essay about the day you got the check.
2) Favorite TV Show
Everyone watches TV, although some people watch more than others. What is your favorite TV show? Is the show enjoyable to all audiences or just people your age? Why is it your favorite?
Write a persuasive essay that convinces someone who has never watched your favorite show to watch it.
