P. 1,4: Today students practiced more pre-writes for the essay portion of ISTEP. We continued with Jackie's Nine and vocabulary related to the Civil Rights movement in America.
P. 2,6: After ISTEP prewrite practice, students took the Wordmaster quiz on words 1-12. These were graded in class.
P. 5: After ISTEP prewrite practice, we continued with the vocabulary and reading of Tom Sawyer. Our focus was Tom's prodigious mastery of persuasion. We will analyze these techniques to use in an argument paper.
There will be no homework assigned during ISTEP.
